Due to the upcoming storm that is expected to hit Salt Lake City this afternoon, Tuesday, November 23, all Temple Square restaurants will be closing early.  We apologize for the inconvenience, but we hope you all stay safe and warm!

Closing times for all restaurants:

Nauvoo Cafe: Closing at 3pm

The Garden: Closing at 3pm

The Lion House Pantry: Closing at 3pm

The Roof Restaurant: Closed all night

All Restaurants are expected to be open again during regular hours on Wednesday, November 24.

The Lion House Pantry is giving away an entire Thanksgiving dinner, enough to feed 15-20 people! This scrumptious gift will be given to one lucky Lion House Pantry text club member through a series of daily giveaways during the month of November.  Text club members will use their V.I.P text as a ticket to enter their name in the drawing bowl located in The Lion House Pantry on Temple Square!   Every week day, lucky text club members will be chosen to win amazing prizes, such as: a dozen Lion House rolls with honey butter or an entire pie, straight from The Lion House Bakery!  The final winner will be the recipient of the grand prize: Thanksgiving dinner!!

Thanksgiving dinner includes:

• One large turkey
• Four dozen Lion House rolls
• Mashed potatoes
• Stuffing
• Cranberry sauce
• Four Lion House pies

You’ll receive a V.I.P text message from The Lion House Pantry.  Show this text to a Lion House Pantry cashier and he/she will allow you to enter your name into the weekly drawing bowl located in The Lion House Pantry.  You may show this text any day The Lion House Pantry is open in November, as long as it is before our grand prize drawing on Friday, November 19, 2010.  You may enter your name ONCE each time you visit us during this month, just be sure to show your text to a cashier every time.

Not a Lion House Pantry text club member?:

Text the word ‘turkey’ to phone number 91011 (Standard text message rates apply).  You’ll receive a V.I.P text message back.  Show this text to a Lion House Pantry cashier and he/she will allow you to enter your name into the weekly drawing bowl located in The Lion House pantry.  You may show this text to a cashier any day The Lion House Pantry is open during the month of November, as long as it is before our grand prize drawing on Friday, November 19, 2010.  You may enter your name ONCE every time you visit us during this month, just be sure to show your text to a cashier each time.

How will you know if you win?:

When you enter your name in the drawing bowl, you’ll fill out a paper with your name, phone number and email address.  If we draw your name, we will contact you.  So be sure to call us back if we leave you a message!

Winner, Winner, Thanksgiving Dinner:

Friday, November 19, 2010 is the day we will draw the winner for the Thanksgiving dinner.  If you happen to be the lucky winner, we will contact you by phone and email.  So be sure to call us back if we leave you a message!  We will prepare this Thanksgiving meal at The Lion House Pantry and have it ready for you to pick up on Thanksgiving Day any time after 12pm.

How to claim your delicious prize:

If we call to inform you that you’ve won one of the daily prizes, we’ll set up a date and time that is convenient for you to pick up your pie or rolls.  When you come in to get your prize, give your name to the front Welcome Desk hosts and tell them what you’ve won .  They will then get your prize and you’ll be on your way to enjoying your delicious winnings!
