The annual General Young Women Conference will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Conference Center on Temple Square. All young women ages 12-18, their mothers and young women leaders are invited. This meeting is scheduled to last approximately 90 minutes.
This year’s conference theme comes from Joshua 1:9 “Be strong and of good courage”. Speakers at this conference include will the General Young Women President, Sister Elaine S. Dalton, and her counselors Sister Mary N. Cook and Sister Ann M. Dibb. Attendees will also have the opportunity to hear from a member of the First Presidency.
Previously President Monson has taught, “You are some of our Heavenly Father’s strongest children, and . . . with His help, you will have the courage to face whatever comes.” We invite all young women to come and learn how to build that courage and gain strength from the encouraging words of our general authorities.
Tickets are required for those planning on attending the meeting in the Conference center – please contact the ticket office at 1-801-570-0080 during business hours Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to do so. The Conference Center doors will open at 4:30 p.m. Those with tickets should be in their seats by 5:30 p.m. Standby seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The standby line is formed at the north gate of Temple Square. For more information, please visit http://lds.org/events/info/0,8197,726-1-751,00.html
