Not only are we seeing Tassels in fashion design as depicted in this article in Family Circle Magazine for April 2011, we are also seeing tassels used in wedding design.
Tassels can be used in floral arrangements, on cakes, on chair backs or in bridal bouquets to give an elegant or a flirty look to your wedding design.
This is Dianne and I have a wonderful tip to pass on to you today. The buzz word is “succulents.”
Succulent plants, also known as succulents or fat plants, are water-retaining plants adapted to arid climates or soil conditions. Succulent plants store water in their leaves, stems, Succulents are booming in popularity for two simple reasons: they are beautiful and nearly indestructible.
Technically, a succulent is any plant with thick, fleshy (succulent) water storage organs. Succulents store water in their leaves, their stems or their roots. These plants have adapted to survive arid conditions throughout the world, from Africa to the deserts of North America. Fortunately for us, this adaptive mechanism has resulted in an incredible variety of interesting leaf forms and plant shapes, including paddle leaves, tight rosettes, and bushy or trailing columns of teardrop leaves.
Succulents are very popular in wedding design and décor. Small succulent plants can be wired and put into corsages and boutonnieres and nestled into arrangements for a beautiful green color and texture. The photos on this post are from a wedding our floral designers did with succulents.
Something unique to add texture and drama. Think about it!
